Hello, LaGrange District!

 

May the grace and peace of God be with you all as you minister in His name.

First of all, let me tell you how excited I am to be the Superintendent of the LaGrange District.  I have many fond memories of serving here in the 1990’s and I look forward to working with each one of you and creating new memories now. 

 

My hope is that we can all work together as a district to bring honor to our Lord Jesus Christ and serve the needs of our respective communities.  Our connectional system offers us the opportunity to reach out much more than we can do individually.  My theme for this year will be “Serving God Together” and I hope that we can work on fostering our servant’s heart as we minister to and with those around us.

 

I look forward to getting to know all of the congregations in the district.  That will be quite a task since there are 103 churches, spread over a large area but I am going to do my best.  Charge Conferences will help me with that and I look forward to meeting with each of you and hearing about the things that you are doing. 

 

I want to invite you to join me for a Welcome Reception on Sunday, July 11, 3-5 PM at LaGrange First.  What a great time of fellowship that will be!

Clergy, I also want you to remember the District Welcome Aboard and Set Up Meeting on August 9 at 6 PM at LaGrange First.  Bring your families – child care will be provided.  There will be a meeting of the clergy spouses while we have our clergy meeting.

 

My office hours will be Monday-Thursday, 9AM-noon so drop by and say hello when you are in LaGrange.  If you need to make an appointment, anytime of the day will be fine.

 

My prayers are with you and I hope you will be praying for me as we begin this journey together.
